Access Counselling
Information for people with sensory impairment
We can offer FREE one-to-one counselling suitable to meet individual needs using:
British Sign Language (with or without interpreter)
Loop System
Large Print and Braille
It can help to talk things over with an understanding person who is trained in counselling. A counsellor will help you identify and deal with problems you may have in your life. Some of our counsellors have BSL as a first language.
How to contact us or be referred
You can contact us directly or take this leaflet to your doctor, social worker, community health nurse or audiologist.
You can discuss with that person whether counselling is appropriate for you. If you and that person agree that counselling might help he/she needs to tell us your name, contact details and preferred language (BSL or English). We will then contact you to arrange an assessment session. We will support you to take that first step.
