It is well established that alcohol misuse, stress etc has a significant impact on workplace absence, accidents, morale, performance and costs. Appointments can be arranged by the company.

How we work with clients

We offer the following services:

1. Counselling

There are a number of ways in which the company can refer the employee. These include:

1.1. Voluntary referral: in this instance the employee asks the company to provide counselling. The role of the company is to arrange an appointment with us. There is no further communication unless the employee requests this or he/she requires time-off work or there are any other implications for the workplace in regard to attendance.

1.2. Disciplinary: Normally the company will request an assessment interview which normally lasts between 60-90 minutes. During this time the worker will establish if there is a problem and express their willingness to attend for counselling.

A report with recommendations will then be sent to the company. Workers who attend counselling will have the terms and conditions explained to them and will also be advised about our confidentiality policy.

Monthly reports will be sent to the company on attendance and general comments on performance.

2. Training

We can offer training to managers, supervisors etc on how to an employee referral scheme operates and provide practical examples of how they can deal with any issues that arise.
