Gambling

Group support

The RCA Trust also provides group support for problem gamblers. This is used to provide a wider overview of gambling. Topics discussed include gambling and the media, stages of change, the dangers of gambling, goal setting and problem solving. Within the group setting individuals are able to gain peer-to-peer support, as well as socialise with other individuals who have experienced similar difficulties.

Homelessness

For gamblers who are threatened with homelessness or are homeless we have three supported accommodation flats. These are available to problem gamblers within the Renfrewshire area. Problem gamblers are supported to change and address their issues with gambling, with the goal being securing their own tenancy through rehabilitation.

Tom121MaleNewHeadGambling is an activity that is enjoyed by many of the population. However, within this population a small percentage will have problems with gambling. These may include financial difficulties, relationship difficulties, employment problems, criminal offences, suicidal thoughts, feelings of isolation and homelessness.

If you are experiencing any of the difficulties above or feel you are in need of some advice on your gambling behaviour then please contact us by phone or email us on gambling@rcatrust.org.uk

The RCA Trust takes a non-judgemental approach to gambling and aim to help you or your family through the issues associated with problem gambling.

We aim to help you:

This is undertaken through the provision of one-to-one counselling in which the service user can talk about their issues with gambling in a safe and confidential environment with one of our trained counsellors.
