Safer drinking
If you keep within the safe levels of alcohol intake, you have a much better chance of avoiding the problems described in the alcohol effects section. Here are the recommended alcohol levels:
Male over 18:
Your safe level of alcohol per week is 21 units.
Your safe level of alcohol per day is 3 units.
Female over 18:
Your safe level of alcohol per week is 14 units.
Your safe level of alcohol per day is 2 units.
If you are under 18 there is no safe level of alcohol. Even a small amount might damage your body a lot.
