About RCA Trust
Who we are We are a charity (SCO 12235) established originally in 1977 to offer volunteer-led alcohol counselling in Paisley, Scotland. Our services are provided by a mixture of volunteer, sessional and salaried workers all trained to recognised standards. Originally known as the Renfrew Council on Alcohol, we changed our name to RCA Trust in 2004 to reflect the broadening of our services. We now operate in the neighbouring local authority areas of East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire. We also offer gambling counselling throughout Scotland.
Who we help We work with clients who experience problems associated with their own or someone else’s alcohol or substance misuse or gambling. People who contact us come from a wide variety of backgrounds and from different routes that include personal contact and referral from social services, companies, NHS and the courts. If your life is affected in any way by alcohol, drugs or gambling, whether it is your own or someone else's problem, we can help. Just call us at 0141 887 0880 (office hours) |
What we do We provide an integrated range of services including information and advice, accommodation, counselling, group work and training. The mixture of services available may differ in different localities and the entry criteria differ by service. Please contact us for more information about services available in your area.
Our standards We work hard to offer a good standard of service to all of our clients. To do this we ensure that our counsellors and support workers:
